On Saturday April 03, 2010, a meeting organized by OFC support group was held in Washington DC at Unification Church.
Dr Merera the chairman of OPC and Medrek gave a generalized speech regarding the situation in the country. In the meeting , Dr also discussed major strategies for the upcoming election, a summary of the Oromo people's struggle for democracy, the role of Forum(Medrek)in the coming election, and what Oromo's should do in the coming election.
During the meeting a lot of the participants asked different questions, which was discussed and answered by Dr Merera.

Dr also reminded how tight the political atmosphere is in the country and how many of our candidates, members and supporters are thrown to jail without any evidence and reason. He also mentioned that this kind of suppression is more common and tight especially in the rural part of the country.
Other representatives of Medrek are also here to conduct similar meetings, so we call up on you to participate and to contribute to the cause
